AEK operating quietly under the radar

AEK are operating under the radar quietly and racking up the points with non-spectacular but steady results. AEK are climbing the table quietly and sneaking up to the two Limassolian front runners AEL and Apollon.

AEK have been able to manage until now all their fixtures between local and European duties. AEK have reached the Europa League Group Stage and have only dropped points in one match in the league championship and that was in their opening match against Nea Salamina, a 1-1 draw.

Andoni Iraola has had a good start to his coaching career and he brings with him a bag full of experience from his playing days at Athletic Bilbao. The board have put the club in the hands of this young inexperienced man and he is already returning their faith by putting the club in the right path following his compatriot Imanol Idiakez. AEK have shown consistency and that is resembled through their core players who are mature and experienced (older and wiser).

AEK will show their championship credentials this weekend when they take on AEL the pace setters this season. A win against AEL will go a long way and will give the sign to all rivals that AEK mean business this year.
