APOEL extend the lead at the top of the table by winning comfortably at Paralimni. ENP Paralimni were beaten 2-0 and did not have much fight in them to change the result of the game. APOEL scored at both sides of the half with first through Ghayas Zahid and then at the end of the match Andre Vidigal got himself on the scoresheet.

APOEL controlled from start to end and ENP Paralimni did not create dangerous chances of any significance. Ghayas Zahid scored in the first half by redirecting a simple pass inside the box towards the goal which caught everyone by surprise including the young ENP goalkeeper Petrou. Not many chances were created by either side until Andre Vidigal jumped high above the defence to convert a header into an empty goal.

APOEL gave debuts to two players in this game. Croatian midfielder Antonio Jakolis who recently joined the club from the Romanian league was given a full debut. While 20 year old youngster Andre Vidigal who has joined APOEL on loan until the summer of 2020 came on as a late substitute in the 82nd minute and still managed to get his name on the scoresheet.

APOEL have plenty of creativity and attacking players that can win the game but the defensive line still has plenty of work to do to convince the club supporters. For now APOEL extend the lead by 3 points and will look to enter the championship phase holding on to the top spot.
